Honey Glazed Chicken Wings: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe

  • Author: Chef Mia
  • Total Time: 19 minute

Ingredients

– 2 pounds chicken wings
– 1/2 cup honey
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon ground ginger
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
– Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
– Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Creating Honey Glazed Chicken Wings is simple if you follow these steps:

1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top for even cooking.
2. Prepare the Chicken: Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This ensures they become crispy during baking.
3. Make the Marinade: In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, ground ginger, black pepper, paprika, salt, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
4. Marinate the Wings: Place the chicken wings in a large zip-top bag or a bowl and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the bowl, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
5. Arrange on the Rack: Remove the wings from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the wings in a single layer on the wire rack on the baking sheet.
6. Bake the Wings: Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, turn the wings over and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
7. Glaze the Wings: While the wings are baking, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.
8. Coat the Wings: Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and brush them with the thickened glaze. Return them to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to set the glaze.
9. Garnish: Remove the wings from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
10. Serve: Transfer the wings to a serving platter and enjoy!
