Description

These Creamy Orange Cinnamon Tea Sandwiches are a fragrant and elegant treat—perfect for tea parties, brunches, or baby showers. With a light, citrusy cream cheese filling and a whisper of cinnamon, they’re sweet, soft, and irresistibly dainty.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices soft white or whole wheat sandwich bread, crusts removed

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp orange zest

  • 1 tbsp orange juice

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

  • Optional: extra orange zest or cinnamon sugar for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, orange zest, orange juice, and cinnamon until smooth and spreadable.

2️⃣ Prepare the bread: Lay out the slices and spread a generous layer of the orange-cinnamon cream cheese mixture on half the slices. Top with the remaining slices.

3️⃣ Slice and serve: Cut sandwiches into quarters (squares or triangles). For extra elegance, sprinkle lightly with cinnamon sugar or a touch of orange zest.

4️⃣ Chill (optional): Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes before serving for best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Use raisin bread or brioche for a flavor twist.

  • Filling can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • Great with black tea, chai, or herbal citrus blends.
